The Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) has re-scheduled an upgrade for faculty and (instructional) staff Office 365 users from Saturday, Dec. 19 to Saturday, Jan. 2, 2020 at 11 p.m. to minimize account interruption.
As previously announced on Sept. 24, 2020, Microsoft made licensing changes that impacts faculty and staff in Office 365 at Coastal Carolina University. The changes include that Microsoft Teams recorded meetings will no longer automatically upload to Microsoft Stream. Microsoft Teams users and other meeting participants will see the option to download the recording of the meeting after a meeting ends. Currently, faculty and staff can still download and upload to Microsoft Stream manually.
During the upgrade, faculty and instructional staff accounts will experience an interruption to all Microsoft services, including email, for potentially up to 24 hours. The upgrade provides added benefits to include access to Microsoft Publisher, Access, and Bookings. Additionally, after the upgrade, any Microsoft Teams recorded meetings will automatically upload to Microsoft Stream.
