Work has been scheduled for Friday July 10th, 2026 beginning at 6:00am. This work may last up to 12 hours causing intermittent and long periods of down time for Internet services and VoIP in the following locations:
Coastal Science Center 450 Century Circle (all portions) Tennis Complex Intramural Fields building and Atlantic Hall
ITS will be performing required maintenance on the following systems at University Place. Please plan accordingly.
System: Internet and Telephone Services
Maintenance Date and Time: Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, from 7-8 a.m.
Duration: One hour
Impact: The anticipated interruption will not exceed 10-15 minutes for all internet network and telephone services for the following buildings: University Place (UP) Resident Halls, UP Administrative and Maintenance Buildings, UP Dining Hall, and UP Activity Building/District 54.
On Thursday, Oct. 3, we had reports of intermittent issues with incoming call audio from off-campus callers. Reports state that the incoming caller cannot be heard.
A case with the service provider was opened along with call examples. The service provider has indicated that the issue was isolated and the issues are resolved.
However, if you experience this issue please document the incoming caller ID phone number the on-campus extension the caller was trying to reach, the time/date of the call, and a brief description of the issue. Submit that information through a telephone support ticket by visiting 5000.coastal.edu
The telephone / voice quality and voicemail issues for incoming campus calls has been resolved.
If you encounter call quality problems following this email, please record the caller ID/telephone number, date, time of call, and a short description of the problem. Afterwards, go to https://5000.coastal.edu and submit an ITS telephone service request with these details.
We have had reports of poor voice quality on incoming telephone calls. We are working with the service provider to identify the root cause. Updates will be provided as they become available.
CCU’s vendor for CINO card services, CBORD, is performing a required upgrade for the CINO Card Services system, CS Gold. View the maintenance details and potential impacts for CINO Card Services below. ITS will send out an email notice as soon as the maintenance is complete.
Systems: CBORD CS Gold Server – CCU CINO Card Services
Maintenance Date and Time: Monday, Sept. 30, 2024 at 7 a.m.
Expected Duration: 1-2 hours
Impact: There may be periodic downtimes and/or interruptions for issuing new CINO ID Cards, the use of meal plans, and the use of CINO cash throughout the maintenance period. However, door access will work off of an offline database, so if an individual has used their card at that location before, they should still have access during the upgrade. If they haven't used their card for a door location before, someone may have to let them into that location. Additionally, food locations will cache the transactions and therefore not deny any transactions.
Inbound calling issues have been resolved.
Reports have been made that off-campus calls inbound to campus extensions are not going through. A critical case has been opened with our service provider. Updates will be made as more information is made available.
Informer 5 services are resolved and operational.
ITS would like to inform users that there is currently an outage for Informer 5 services. ITS staff are working to identify and resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
