ITS Notice - Amazon Web Services Outage Reported Tuesday December 7, 2021, 12:00 pm


CCU services are experiencing effects from a reported outage of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud servers. This outage is causing slow loading or failures for systems and services that use AWS services, such as Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor, Ally, RIVS Interview Stream services, and potentially other systems/services using AWS as this issue persists. ITS is monitoring this situation as it evolves.

AWS Update: "The root cause of this issue is an impairment of several network devices. We continue to work toward mitigation, and are actively working on a number of different mitigation and resolution actions. While we have observed some early signs of recovery, we do not have an ETA for full recovery...We will continue to provide updates here as we have more information to share."
