Moodle Issue Report

Due to high traffic volumes, we are currently experiencing performance issues with the Moodle system. The Moodle Team is working as quickly as possible with our external hosting vendor to get this resolved. Additional updates will be forthcoming.

  • After close monitoring of its functionality, the ongoing issues with the Quickmail block in Moodle have been resolved. The full functionality of Moodle has been restored.

  • Moodle is currently functioning and users should be able to access courses now. The Quickmail block has been disabled as it was affecting performance. Please be patient as our hosting vendor works to get this resolved.

  • Issues with Moodle resumed again around 7 p.m. on Aug. 22, 2023.

    This has been escalated to the external hosting vendor at 7 p.m on Aug. 22, 2023, to get it resolved.

  • Moodle issues were resolved for a short time yesterday beginning at 4 p.m.

  • 25Live Issue Report - 25Live

    CollegeNET is currently experiencing technical issues that could result in slowed or interrupted Series25 services. This may affect 25Live services including event scheduling and university calendars. Other institutions utilizing 25Live are also experiencing similar issues. ITS will provide an update as soon as it is available.

  • CollegeNET has confirmed that all 25Live services have been fully restored.

    MyCCU Issue Report - MyCCU

    We are experiencing a partial outage with MyCCU (https://myccu.coastal.edu). We are working with Ellucian, the vendor for MyCCU, to determine the cause. Updates will be provided as Ellucian works to identify and resolve the issue with MyCCU.

    Until this issue is resolved, please access https://www.coastal.edu/myccudown for CCU resource links.

  • The scheduled maintenance was successfully completed as planned by Ellucian engineers. Ellucian engineers continue to monitor closely.

  • MyCCU (https://myccu.coastal.edu) access is restored and operational. Ellucian engineers have made MyCCU enhancements throughout the day and improvements in performance are observed.

    Maintenance Notice: There will be a period of downtime tonight, Aug. 21, 2023, between 10 p.m. Eastern to 2 a.m. Eastern on Aug. 22, 2023, while Ellucian engineers make additional changes to improve performance with MyCCU.

  • Ellucian engineers are still working on the full restoration of services.

  • Ellucian engineers have identified the issue causing problems for some MyCCU users and are working on remediation. We will provide updates as Ellucian continues to make progress.

    Power outage at Coastal Science affecting services on east campus

    Due to a power issue with Santee Cooper, the east campus is experiencing issues with Network and telecommunications. ITS has reached out to Facilities Management and they are awaiting confirmation of a resolve from Santee cooper.

    Buildings affected would be CSC, Tennis, 450 Century, TheCoop and Atlantic Hall

  • The power and all services have been restored.

  • Facilities states that Santee Cooper is reporting that the power for CSC building will be out for several more hours.

    Wired - Campus Network Issue Report

    We are experiencing network hardware failure in the East side of the Wall Building currently affecting wired / wireless network and VoIP telephone services. The issue has been identified and the ITS team is working diligently to bring the hardware back online.

  • East side Wall Builing wired and wireless network, and VoIP phones are currently back online. A workaround has been implemented to bring the network live while a permanent solution is determined.
