Work has been scheduled for Friday July 10th, 2026 beginning at 6:00am. This work may last up to 12 hours causing intermittent and long periods of down time for Internet services and VoIP in the following locations:
Coastal Science Center 450 Century Circle (all portions) Tennis Complex Intramural Fields building and Atlantic Hall
Verified transport services for delivery of external mail were hung up and restarted services. External mail was queued and is now being delivered.
Due to the large amount of mail that was in queue, delivery will be slower than usual until the backlog is cleared.
CollegeNET has identified a potential fix, but they are unsure when the patch will be pushed to our environment. More updates to follow as we receive them.
CollegeNET QA team has identified the problem and is now in the process of reviewing a fix.
Emails generated from 25Live are not being delivered. There is a open ticket with CollegeNET and they are investigating the issue.
The telephone service performance issues have been resolved as of 9:00 a.m. 8/1/2019.
The cause of the telecommunications performance issues has been identified. Due to an influx of inbound telephone traffic, standard resources provided by upstream carriers have been taxed.
Our service provider is working with upstream carriers to get the facilities for this VoIP telephone traffic expanded to be able to accommodate the high volume of inbound calls.
There is currently no ETR provided; updates will be made as we become more informed.
Our telephone service provider continues to investigate reported inbound call connectivity issues.
There are no major service outages reported with our service provider; they are working with other service providers to determine the issue.
There is an issue with telephone services that is affecting incoming calling services. Segra (formerly Spirit) is working to identify the issue.
Repair to the damaged fiber optic has been completed as of 1:18 a.m. 7/31/2019. Routing of communications traffic has been returned to normal and services are back to a normal state.
Service issues will remain to occur intermittently. The service provider has staff on-site to repair the fiber optic cut. Estimated time to repair is still not available.
There is an issue with telephone services that is affecting access to off campus calling services. Spirit (Segra) technicians are currently on site to resolve the issue.
Initial reports from the service provider state there is a fiber optic issue and network / telephone traffic is being routed an alternate path but users may experience intermittent issues with call completion and voice quality. An update will be provided as we are informed.
All services have been restored.
Perceptive Content will be restarted at 5:00pm today. Expected downtime is < 5 minutes.

We are experiencing an intermittent issue with network and telephone services that is affecting Laurel Hall only. ITS technicians have determined the situation and a solution and replacement equipment is due to be delivered and installed today. An update will be provided by end of today.
KACE SMA is back up.
The KACE System Management Appliance is undergoing a planned update and will be offline until approximately 10:00am.
